
In conjunction with British Embassy (Department of International Trade and Prosperity Fund), UK Colombia Trade (UKCT) and Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), Agri-EPI Centre will showcase the UK’s leading role in providing innovative agri-tech solutions and technologies at AGROFUTURO 2018, in Bogota Colombia. The overall aim is to develop trade links between UK companies and promote agricultural products and technologies to this emerging Colombian sector.
AGROFUTURO was founded in 2007 and is the leading business and knowledge platform of the agriculture sector in Colombia and Latin America. With over 400 participating companies and more than 10,000 Colombian and foreign visitors. Colombia is South America’s fourth largest economy and boasts some of the highest GDP growth rates in the region.
Showcasing British innovative agri-food products/ technology in Colombia
For UK companies, increased development of the Colombian rural areas presents important business opportunities. The trade mission includes representation of all four Agricultural Technology Innovation Centres and more than twenty UK companies that have not yet been established in Colombia. These companies all cover different parts of the agricultural technology supply chain: machinery, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and Remote Sensing), investments and sustainability.
