
Agri-EPI invites you to attend an on-farm day at Upper Nisbet Farm in Jedburgh on 11th October 10AM-2PM. There are a limited number of tickets available and we will be accepting registration on a first-come, first-serve basis.
This event will be hosted by Upper Nisbet Farmer Robert Neill, and will include an introduction to the farm, a farm walk, and a networking lunch for all attendees.
About Upper Nisbet Farm:
Upper Nisbet is a 636.25 hectare farm which is part of Lothian Estates in the Scottish Borders. The Neill family took over the tenancy at Upper Nisbet in May 2000.
The farm currently has 320 suckler cows. This number has been increased gradually year on year since arriving at Upper Nisbet with 200 cows in May 2000.
The area of the farm in arable production has doubled since taking on the tenancy in 2000. There are now 353.38 hectares of land in arable production. At the end of 2016 an additional 197.91 hectares was added to the farm area when a neighbour retired.
Upper Nisbet is a part of the Agri-EPI Centre satellite farm network.

11:00: Farm tour- to include demonstration of Crover’s grain swimming robot, presentation by Tru-Test showing their Livestock Management System, discussion by Keenan on maximising feed efficiency, precision diet feeding technology, and presentation on GPS and data from John Deere.The tour will also include a tour of the wider farm.
