Sustainability in agriculture is an important topic. Many farmers are transitioning to regenerative systems to improve soil health and minimise environmental impact. But how can we validate these practices?
Data collected through earth observation can provide science grade data to monitor and measure environmental impact of agriculture.
Earth Observation (EO) can be defined as the collection and analysis of information regarding our planet’s physical, chemical and biological systems.
We have teamed up with Planet, Hummingbird Technologies and Cranfield University to discuss the role of earth observation in monitoring sustainable agriculture.
We will be joined by speakers from:
- Agri-EPI Centre, Data & Automation Lead, Eliot Dixon
- Planet, Senior Product Marketing Manager Stephanie Giard
- Abdou Khouakhi, Lecturer in Remote sensing in the School of Water, Energy, and Environment, Centre for the environment, and Agricultural informatics
- Nate T Chief Scientific Officer, Hummingbird Technologies
This event would be of interest to farmers, technologists, academics and policy makers.
