We bring together academic institutions with industry partners to design and develop research and innovations that will support growth in the food and farming sectors.

Current members include organisations from all major agri-food sectors including arable, horticulture, livestock and aquaculture. Our membership is representative of the whole supply chain – from farmers to processors and retailers plus  engineering and technology businesses of all sizes.

    Members can access £18m of cutting edge facilities and equipment across a broad range of technologies via our three innovation hubs in Cranfield, Newport (Shropshire) and Edinburgh.

    Agri-EPI have technology deployed on a network of working farms and processing sites, to test the latest innovations, and capture data that helps better understand and solve industry problems. These include all major farming systems and commodities that will allow farmers to:

    • See cutting edge technology being deployed in the real world

    • Feedback to ensure technology is commercially viable and industry focused
    • Provide data on production systems, allowing identification of industry issues that are opportunities for R&D
