Agri-EPI Centre featured as supporter of Midlands tech innovators in UK Government campaign
As part of a UK Government campaign encouraging UK companies to export their goods, the Department for International Trade has released a short video which we were delighted to see featured Agri-EPI Centre, our partners and our Midlands Innovation Hub.
The Department for International Trade’s 5-year “Exporting is Great” campaign is part of a major programme highlighting export opportunities for UK companies in a range of sectors around the world.
The short promotional film, produced by Colada Creative, is raising awareness for The Marches LEP, which provides start-ups, SMEs and larger businesses in the food and drink sector with information, guidance and support to create jobs and continue growing the Midlands’ agri-economy.
Supporting agri-tech innovation
The video footage focuses on the Midlands region and it’s world-leading innovations in tech and food production, largely thanks to pioneering research at Harper Adams University, on whose campus our Midlands Agri-Tech Innovation Hub is situated.
The team shown in the video is the Hands Free Farm team at the Innovation Hub’s workshop spaces, where they have been working hard alongside Precision Decisions Ltd, Harper Adams University and Farmscan AG to create the world’s first fully-automated farm.

In collaboration with the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Shropshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and The Marches LEP, the Midlands Agri-Tech Innovation Hub is helping companies grow their business. In particular, UK national and international agri-tech companies needing a branch or division in the Midlands can take advantage of flexible office and project spaces that suit their requirements; get them settled in and gain traction from day one.
