Service Support
We offer a wide range of services that will help you accelerate your business and reach its full potential.
We lend our expertise to businesses in the agri-tech space to get access to grant funding or commercial funding through investors. As your partner, we help identify funding opportunities that are most suitable for you; we support with coordinating proposals, develop across consortia partners and can write and coordinate funding bid applications for R&D projects.
Grants and funding applications are competitive by nature. Funders are looking to support disruptive, innovative projects. We help you scope your project and turn it into a viable and scalable business model that suits the needs of your end-user. Grant project management is not always straightforward. Within Agri-EPI Centre, we employ Project Managers to assist partners with project support, allowing those with the technical insight the focus to deliver the results.
Managing projects requires adequate resources (time and competent personnel) to manage and ensure the project is delivered to meet funders’ requirements, including: budget setting and evaluation; setting up of monthly/quarterly meetings; writing progress reports; managing grant change requests; development of grant project documents.
Agri-EPI Centre has developed systems that takes the project from pre-project start up to project evaluation (post project close).
We bring together academic institutions with industry partners to design and develop research innovations that will support growth in the food and farming sectors. Agri-EPI Centre is uniquely positioned to help with consortia building and brokering collaborations necessary in funding bids. We match your needs with the unique capabilities, knowledge and expertise of our partners to create the opportunities to access new markets and expand your portfolio.
With our business incubation spaces throughout the UK, we enable agri-food and ag engineering companies to develop their ideas in an innovative environment and bring forward-thinking agri-tech businesses together. Start-ups have access to facilities they need to commercialise their product and/or services in agriculture, such as workshop spaces and technology equipment.
Agri-EPI Centre provides a launch platform for your technology. Our unique state–of–the–art innovation hubs across the UK provide a comprehensive bespoke high impact launch experience for your company. We can support with on-farm scenarios, workshop facilities, webinars and conferences. You can also gain access to cutting–edge technology and kit, and reach your target audience through our industry network and links with end-users.
We work together with 24 of the UK’s most innovative farmers, the Agri-EPI Centre Satellite Farm network, where new technologies and techniques can be researched, developed, and demonstrated in commercial farming settings. The farms cover all major agricultural commodities.
Agri-EPI Centre is involved in three major international markets; New Zealand, China and Paraguay, with the intention of working in new international markets in the future. We have deployed state-of-the-art technologies on SMART farms in these three countries. These sites can be used for testing of new technologies and as a platform for launching technology in international markets.
A key focus area of Agri-EPI is to help ensure UK-developed agri-tech is applied around the world to boost global food production. If you want to trade internationally and have a footprint that extends to countries worldwide, Agri-EPI can help facilitate access to these international markets. We have strong links with the Department for International Trade (DIT) that takes a leading role in international trade missions. We play an important role in building strategic partnerships, providing deep insight into the opportunities for UK innovation to, ultimately, help you build your business’ international export position.
